One Cup Brownie
One thing I think the world has gotten wrong is thinking that having dessert is the worst thing you can do for your body. Dessert is not evil. Dessert is not the enemy. There’s a reason why dietitians don’t typically put someone on a “diet” that cuts out sweets (unless it’s a medical diet, that’s for another time).
Diets don’t work. Plain and simple. We can’t just completely cut out desserts and our nutrition is magically the best it’s ever been. Life is about balance. If we don’t give ourselves the opportunity to eat foods just because they’re fun, we’re going to feel like we’re missing out. If we feel like we’re missing out on something, at some point we’ll end up overeating on these foods.
Here’s how to make my favorite One Cup Brownie:
Ingredients:
3 tbsp flour
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
splash of vanilla
pinch of salt
1 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp milk
as many chocolate chips as you want
To make it:
grab a mug and mix together the flour, brown sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, salt, butter, milk, and chocolate chips. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Let it cool slightly before you enjoy it :)
